Oxton Recreation Ground, Nottingham – Playpark Equipment Replacement (007511)

Oxton is a small village in North Notts. The Community’s aim is to replace the deteriorating playpark equipment and also add disabled equipment, as there is currently no equipment for children with disabilities. The current timber equipment is now over 10 years old and is showing severe and dangerous signs of wear and tear through heavy usage. Health & Safety inspection reports have highlighted structural issues which has meant cordoning off equipment and taking it out of use on safety grounds. The Parish Council has spoken with maintenance consultants who have confirmed that the equipment has to come to the end of its life expectancy. The project will provide new inclusive equipment for the local community.
