Oyster Bowls Club, Whitstable – New Bowling Carpet

Indoor bowls is played on rinks of specialised green carpet. This carpet is stretched annually and then needs to be replaced after 10 years. The carpet was recently stretched for the last time before replacement . The men’s and ladies’ toilets are also being refurbished as part of other works.
Funding is required towards the cost of replacing the carpet . This is a specialised product, obtained and fitted only through specialist suppliers. A Sport England award is covering the cost of the toilet refurbishment, the CTP and towards carpet.
We offer the sport of indoor bowls at all levels – from coaching for new members and friendly social roll-ups to competition bowls at inter-club level, county level and national level. Without the carpet there is no bowls club. The carpet must be in mint condition to maintain game’s integrity.
