Papworth Tennis Club

To resurface 4 tennis courts with an artificial grass and sand surface to enable use by local community groups such as schools, uniformed groups (eg Brownies) and players with disabilities, as well as members of the club.
The playing surface of the tennis courts is deteriorating which is evident by visual inspection: the tarmac is breaking up in places and the surface has numerous cracks. The existing surface of the tarmac courts will be prepared by cleaning and repairing all areas to provide a level surface. The artificial grass, known as Tiger Turf, will be laid and edged using block paviours at the perimeter of the court to retain the new artificial grass surface. The court lines will be marked out and the net posts will be reset into new sockets to cater for the surface height increase. The new courts surface will be sand dressed to provide the new playing surface.
