Parc Slip Biodiversity Learning Project

The project aims to encourage a greater diversity of people to become involved in practical biodiversity conservation through being able to better enjoy wildlife and take part in wildlife surveys and research. This will enable the Wildlife Trust to engage with new audiences and involve more people in conservation.

To do this WTSWW aim to create a wildlife viewing hide, which will be used to lead guided walks and educational talks on the nature reserve. By showing people the wonderful wildlife on their doorstep it is hoped that they will become inspired by and become more invovled in nature conservation.

In addition to the wildlife watching hide wildlife surveys based around small mammals found on the reserve will also take place. Volunteers and members of the public will be able to take part in the surveys and will also be able to gain skills in wildlife identification and survey techniques.
