Parkfield Road Former Allotment Site

The site was compulsory purchased for road creation around 2000/1, and around 37,000m2 has been returned as overgrown scrub or poor grassland with weed infestations and fly tipping. We would like to return the site to community usage with a multi purpose site, and will be phasing works to complete the full project. We want to carry out planting and landscaping to improve access for all to and across the site, create and improve habitats along the River Avon green corridor, provide Play and Youth facilities in an area which is currently lacking provision, encourage active lifestyles, and to return some of the site to allotments. We are also working with Fields In Trust to dedicate the site as a Centenary Field, to protect the site in perpetuity and to mark commemorations of WWI with the site forming a living memorial to those who lost their lives.
