Parkfield Road Former Allotments, Newbold on Avon – Park Creation (40356/D)

The project aims to refurbish the site, improving its appearance, to provide community facilities, realise the sites full potential, increase usage, and for the huge social and environmental benefits in an area of social and economic deprivation, and a target for regeneration. We are also working with Fields In Trust to dedicate the site as a Centenary Field, to protect the site in perpetuity and to mark commemorations of WWI with the site forming a living memorial to those who lost their lives. We want to carry out planting and landscaping to improve access to and across the site, create and improve habitats along the River Avon green corridor and in close proximity to 3 SSSIs, provide play and youth facilities in an area which is currently lacking provision with access to other sites restricted by the River Avon and heavy traffic on the Relief Road and Newbold Road.
