Parklife – Skelton Grange Leeds

Skelton Grange is a popular community centre and nature area in Leeds, managed for both people and wildlife. The site is now visited by over 6500 people per year, predominantly children and families, and includes people with mobility issues. We aim to keep the space as natural as possible since visitor consultation establishes that is what people value most – but need to balance this with maintaining functionality and accessibility. This project will improve and redevelop pathways & new seating for better accessibility, build an innovative outdoor classroom, undertake major renovation to a pond & dipping platform, and work to control invasive species, enhance woodlands, ponds, meadows & hedges in a crucial link in the Lower Aire
