Parks Fields Cowfield Grassland Restoration Project

Restoration of species rich mesotrophic lowland hay meadow, through suppression of existing semi-improved grassland vegetation by herbicide application, seed bed preparation and subsequent sowing with a mix of perennial seeds of forbs appropriate to the target NVC MG5 community and cornfield annual species, for early interest in this urban fringe site, and as a nurse crop.
