The aim of the project is to create a flexible studio theatre at Nottingham Playhouse to be used for children’s performances, workshops, studio-style shows and community events – giving greater access to the theatre for local people.
Vital improvement work will enable us to broaden the range of services on offer to the local community, helping to inspire and promote learning and participation.
We will employ local artists to develop creative solutions for the interior and exterior of the studio theatre. We also plan to refurbish the dressing room and kitchen, and to achieve the most efficient seating, sound and lighting systems.
