Pasture Road Recreation Ground

Pasture Road Recreation Ground is predominantly an open grassed playing field with football pitches and mature tree planting. A small, dated play area sits in one corner of the site which will be subject to redesign as part of a separate phase of the project. Currently, local people are deterred from using the space, especially during the winter months when access is difficult.

The project will see the creation of new circulation footpaths around the recreation ground. These footpaths will link to existing access points, and will create a more accessible space for all abilities. They will allow people to walk around the park at all times of the year, through areas of tree planting and to gain better access to the football pitches. New areas of seating will be created at strategic points around the new footpath, allowing users to relax, sit and spend time with families and friends.
