Path Improvements at Dartmoor Zoo Phase 1A

The project is to re-tarmac existing rough paths throughout the zoo, enabling even surfaces for public, volunteers and staff to use easily and safely. With general wear and winter weather many paths have become damaged leaving potholes and very uneven surfaces, especially on inclines, of which there are many.The existing paths around the park will be prepared. Key points will have additional drainage added by the maintenance team assisted by volunteers. The site has been divided into sections which can re-surfaced in stages, with no detrimental impact on the sustainability.
