Patten Street Community Garden

This project will create a useable community greenspace and play area in a deprived urban area of Colne. The finished project will provide a safe place for children to play and for the local community to socialise. The site is surrounded by terraced housing and is currently unuseable due to dog fouling and an area overgrown with aggressive shrubery. The initial project idea came from the local community and a desin has been drawn up incorporating the elements they asked for. These include dog proffing the site, informal seating area and a play area
