Pavilion Extension

It is paramount that the Margaret Catchpole Bowls Club operates a policy of continuous improvement which meets the expectation of its members and can play a greater role in the community. Many older people either play bowls or visit to socialise and/or volunteer. This keeps people physically and mentally active and reduces isolation and loneliness. The Club engages young people, older people and families. We need to ensure that when the club is not being used for bowls, the pavilion extension provides the right amenities that can support a range of new events and activities and is attractive and functional. The area where we plan to build the extension is currently neglected and our project will help improve the redundant space.
The project is in 3 Phases. Phases 1 & 2 have now been completed and funded and we are awaiting funding to commence the Phase 3 final part of the total project which has been conditionally awarded to us by Biffa Awards.
