Pavilion Gardens 2025

Our aims are:

1. To further develop the new outdoor ‘Pavilion Gardens’ at a local level that will promote local heritage and landscape.

2. Provide opportunities for people / groups to become involved in socially active projects that are embedded in the outdoors and include an environmental, community cohesion and climate control agenda.

3. To provide educational platforms of positive experiences and discussions on climate change, outdoor lifestyle opportunities; social, leisure, hobbies and heritage.

Our projected outcomes are:

1. Increase in number of local people in using the Pavilion Gardens for engagement in community projects that are in a green environment setting.

2. Project ideas generated for greater community cohesion, environmental and climate control agenda’s that can be shared with local networks for development.

3. Increased community confidence from hard to reach communities and their involvement in wider community initiatives.

Physical work will entail:
1 – Fitting of a x4 picnic benches that are adapted at each end so that wheelchair bound people can use them for eating on.
2 – Creation of a bespoke Community greenhouse with access for wheelchair bound people for growing and sowiing projects.
3 – Delivery of a community engagement event to contribute to the design of this greenhouse.
4 – Fittting of x2 water taps for watering/maintenance of the Pavilion Gardens.
5 – Adapting a former grass area into new soft lawn as a family seating area / groundsitting picnic area.
