Pawlett Hams - Land Purchase

A key field within the existing nature reserve is under private ownership. The ageing owners are making their succession plans and have highlighted a desire to sell the field. It would be a shame to loose the land and so we would like to acquire it rather than see it on the open market. Loosing the field will not stop the functioning of the wider site, but it is situated in a key location and it's loss would make wider habitat provision substantially more challenging. Adding the field to the block would secure the valuable habitat it already delivers, for the foreseeable future.
