Pelsall Common Play Area Improvements, Friends of Pelsall Commons, Walsall

The project involves: removal of old play equipment for the existing play area designed for younger children and replacement of this equipment with a new equivalent; addition of new play equipment to broaden the age range of possible users from the existing range of up to about 8 years to 15 years old. This will involve using a range of new play equipment that will fit well with the natural look of the Common; surfacing the new play area with a reinforced grass and resurfacing the existing safety surface with an artificial grass product to ensure the play area has a low visual impact in the common; reconstructing the existing track to a fully accessible path with the addition of two accessible picnic tables and two new bins.
