People’s Planet – Fix the Roof, St Michael’s Church, Brierley Hill, West Midlands

This is a project to make a series of repairs and alterations to the roof at St Mary’s Church in Brierley Hill. These entail repairing and replacing parts of the roof coverings, replacing inadequate roof lights, strengthening of the nave ceiling by securing it to the summer beams and providing safe walkways and balustrades in the roof void. The church is Grade II listed and is one of only two listed buildings in Brierley Hill.
