Phase 1: Shrewsbury Urban Beaver Release

A captive release of beavers into the Old River Bed SSSI in Shrewsbury. This is to improve the habitat quality on site as it is no longer possible to graze the site with cattle and upstream and down stream once re-engineering works have been carried out by the incumbent beavers.

We will use the release to engage local people with nature conservation and support our work via volunteering and joining as members.
