Phase 2 of Viewpoint and Cemetery Steps Improvements, Kinghorn

The project is in 3 phases and 3 main aims:(1) Phase 1 (mainly complete)to make safe the Cemetery Steps leading down to Pettycur Beach. These are well used locally and a Core Path, and a scenic alternative for the Coastal Path; (2) Phase 2 (which is this funding request) will upgrade and enhance a tired and neglected area by constructing a view point, paths and new fencing. This will allow visitors to enjoy a panoramic view and pinpoint locations. A new pathway will allow disabled access to the area (previously inaccessible); (3) Phase 3 (scheduled 2011) will see environmental improvements to the area through the creation of a community or memorial garden with natural planting carried out by voluntary community effort. This aims to give a quiet area to sit in, especially for visitors to the cemetery and school parties.
