Piddinghoe Children’s Play Area, Newhaven – Play Area Redevelopment (1899/D)

The project aims to renovate and develop our existing village children’s Play Area.

The main climbing frame is rotten and in need of replacement. The existing play equipment is dated and offers little in terms of imaginative play. We want to replace it with natural style play equipment which encourages children to use their imagination and creativity as well as enhance their balance and physical skills. We also want to expand the play area into currently overgrown woodland on either side to incorporate environmental education into the children’s play space including the provision of bird nesting boxes and tree/wildlife identification information.

The Trust grant will contribute towards teh play area redevelopment.
