Projects / Pinney Room Floor

Pinney Room Floor

The Pinney Room is a small meeting room (Approx 50 sq m) situated in the Lady Smith Memorial Institute (aka Parish Rooms). The floor consists of wooden parquet which at some time has been covered with a cement based screed. The wood is now going rotten causing severe deformation of the floor, leading to the possibility of trips or falls by the users of the room. It is proposed to remove the exiting floor to the base concrete, install a damp proof membrane and then rebuild the floor using insulation board topped with tongue & grooved flooring chipboard. Furniture removal/storage/repositioning.
