Pittville Park Masterplan – Steps project

The Steps project will restore the flight of steps in front of Pittville Pump Room. The steps were part of the original 1820s design and set off the view to and from the Pump Room. They were removed in around 1900 when a bandstand was, briefly, placed on top of them, and now only the plinths to each side remain.
The project will put back the 4 forest sandstone steps, refurbish the plinths and landscape the surroundings. The project is part of the wider Masterplan which is restoring original historic features in Pittville Park.
