Plan Bee – Buzzing in West Lancashire

Plan Bee will involve people in the creation and management of bee-friendly wildflower areas (bee motorways, bee service stations and bee hotels) in the project area in order to raise awareness of the importance of bees as pollinators of crops, fruit trees and shrubs, garden plants and wildflowers. The project will organise bee identification courses together with habitat creation and management and bee keeping courses for local residents and volunteers. Overall the project looks to facilitate an increase in Honey bees, Bumble bees and other bee species.
The project will be delivered alongside another LCF funded project, Plan Bee, 025077.186 (registered 29/11/2012).
