Plastic bottle recycling scheme

Research and development to examine whether the use of a screw compactor, generator and ancillary equipment to improve the payload and on site storage capacity through the mobile compaction of plastic bottles, can help enhance the collection and subsequent recycling of plastics. An aim of the project is to encourage community groups to collect plastics and receive a payment for recycling, thus increasing feedstock available. The equipment will allow compaction therefor making transportation more effective.
