Play and Fun Means Healthy, Happy Children

The play equipment in the Recreation Ground is in considerable need of updating.The toddler equipment is very tired and needs urgently to be replaced. Parents have told us that they would like the toddler equipment to be in the same area as the equipment for older children so that they can take children of varying ages to one site. They have also said that they would like to see the children able to play without being fenced in as they are at present. We believe that it is really important to show the children that they are listened to and that their views are taken seriously. Final element of this phase to improve the area is to install exiting climbing and balnce equipment in the form of an adventure trail which will also creat a natural boundary to the area.
