Play Area Project

The purpose of the project is three – fold – firstly, to provide improved and attractive play facilities, with additional items of equipment for younger toddlers and safety surfacing to current British standards, at this important entrance to Pittencrieff Park. Secondly, by making the play area itself more attractive, we hope to encourage children to make more use of the equipment and become more physically active and, thirdly, the installation of additional seating , picnic tables and litter bins will allow this area to become an attractive area where parents and families can take their leisure while children play safely nearby. It is anticipated that this area will become a focal point for families and visitors arriving from the adjacent car park and will complement the new offices recently completed for the Carnegie Trusts and the upgraded car parking and access facilities.
