Play Equipment for Montpelier Park, Montpelier Parks Group, Bristol

This is a project to replace play equipment in Montpelier Park, a small urban park serving a densely populated area of Bristol. The provision of new equipment and surfacing will encourage families to attend the park, dispersing antisocial behavior and encourage physical and mental wellbeing of all those that visit.

Montpelier has high deprivation and a large BAME population. The park plays a vital role in fostering community cohesion, increasing familiarity among neighbours, and reducing isolation/segregation. There is currently no play equipment in Montpelier for children older than four years. Increasing play provision for children with differing abilities and improving seating will improve social/recreational opportunities.

The park has unrestricted access.
