Playground Redevelopment

Discover would like to refurbish its Playground which has provided children from across London and locally, who often grow up without gardens, with a safe place to play for the past 16 years. We would like to replace aging play equipment, enhance the space with sensory play equipment and planting to incorporate the benefits of outdoor and accessible learning into the Discover experience. We are aiming to provide better opportunities for outdoor hands-on experiences and physical activity to ensure that children with disabilities can play inclusively alongside their non-disabled friends and siblings and adults. We aim to provide: - Playground equipment, pathways and surfacing are safe, durable and exciting. - High quality outdoor experiences for children in their early years and those with Special Needs who often have limited access to gardens of their own. - Seating and tables for adults. - Pathways and equipment which are accessible to people who use wheelchairs. - More wildlife and insect habitats.
