Polesworth Abbey Gatehouse – restoration of historic building

Abbey gatehouse presently a Scheduled Monument building “at risk”. Survey has revealed that the Gatehouse dates from 1320 and is of national significance. Project to conserve and restore for local people and visitors to see all parts of the building; two special areas for schools and other visitors to see AVs of Gatehouse history and conservation. Project includes an “interpretation project” involving local people in making AVs with professional help. Also provision of promotional literature, teachers packs and childrens activities.
