Projects / Pollinator Pathways

Pollinator Pathways

This project will restore 46.68 hectares of BAP lowland using seed and hay collected from local donor sites wherever possible. We will create a new pollinator pathway to link fragments of habitat together working with local landowners and a nature reserve. This flower rich pathway will support Harrogate BAP species of conservation concern and connect into existing projects such Buglife’s B-Line network. Volunteers will undertake meadow surveys, collect and spread seed and be trained in scything techniques to allow them to manage grasslands effectively long term.
