Pond Improvement

To improve an amenity for the community of Fauldhouse village by improving the existing pond located on a right of way on the local golf course. At present its ecological value is poor. The intentionis to alter the pond to increase its landscape value and to reach its ecological potential. With the proposed work, the pond would be completely transformed and the surrounding area enhanced and its biodiversity value improved.
This would be achieved by removing existing concrete edging and vegitation. Then reshape the pond with types of edge. One would be board walk edge, around the rest of the pond an area with various depths of shallow water would be created, in various widths. This is important for wildlifeand plant diversity.
