Pond Plants Recovery and Refuge

To survey ponds in Preston, Fylde and Wyre, targeting plant species with restricted distribution and/or sps that are threatened locally, regionally or nationally

To collect seed from a prioritised sps list based on the results of the initial survey

To propagate seeds and introduce into a created wetland area in Haslam Park LNR, Preston.

To work closely with the Friends of Haslam Park and to promote the ideas and outputs of the project to the wider public through outreach and interpretation.

To upskill the Friends group and establish the LNR wetland site as a refuge nursery with potential for species recovery.
