Poppleton Pond

Clear the village pond of excessive growth of Yellow Flag Iris and Bulrushes, both of which are reducing the pond size and threatening the habitat of the waterfowl. Debris will also be removed and native plants will be planted. For more than 10 years a group of volunteers have maintained the pond and its environs engaging in work parties every 6-8 weeks. They have partially fenced the pond for safety, planted and maintained the half acre around the pond. The work quoted for in this application requires professiional help which s beyond the expertise of the Poppleton Wildlife Trust
