Portstewart Community Sports Hub: Land Reclamation and Multi-Sport Area Developments

Portstewart Football and Community Club is seeking funding through this Landfill Community Fund to undertake a transformative project aimed at developing an underutilised area behind our changing rooms into a vibrant multi-sport facility. The funds will primarily support the initial phase of the project, including clearing the land of overgrowth, removing waste, installing drainage as needed, levelling the terrain, and seeding the area. This critical first step will lay the foundation for the creation of a versatile space that can accommodate various sports activities and serve as a hub for community engagement. Since acquiring our lease in 1997, this portion of the club’s grounds has remained largely neglected. Although the land has been sporadically cut in the past, it has yet to realise its full potential as a valuable asset for our members and the wider community.
