Positive Transitions, Northfield

The project is to create a mural on Northfield Swimming Pool. The building suffers from vandalism and graffitti and this is an attempt to involve young people from the XL Group at Northfield Academy to design and produce a mural. The Excel Group is a group of young people who have been identified as having low self esteem, anti social behaviour and the risk of exclusion. Alternative curricular activities are identified to help build personal and social skills and enable. The murial will improve the immediate physical appearance of the building and reduce future vandalism through including local young people to participate in the project.
The work is carried out by Arts Development Team at Aberdeen City Council.
