Potters Mede Football Pitch Enhancement

Potters Mede recreation ground is in an area of heavy clay and the football pitches are unplayable during the Winter. We propose to remove the existing topsoil layer and store, regrade the site, install a comprehensive sub-soil system and to re-soil the new pitch with a mixture of sand and top soil. This will then be re-seeded with a high quality playing field grass seed mixture. We intend to provide football pitches that can be used for the whole season enabling our village football teams to play on their home pitch and also to compete at a higher level of competition in local leagues.
