Preesall Park Improvement Programme Phase 1

Our aim is to develop a community open space for people of all ages on the site of the existing playing fields in Preesall,that currently offers football pitches and a small play provision for the under 10s only.The full proposal is to enhance the football pitches and priovide a range of new activities suited to all members of the community such as outdoor fitness equipment ,paths,teen shelters ,play equipment for the over 11s , a multi use games area ,natuaral wetland swales,orchard with pivcnic areas,a BMX track and a natuaral play area for toddlers along with more general environmental improvements such as tree planting.
Phase 1 of the scheme is a discrete project within the overall scheme which will provide a multi use games area and 2 teen shelters along with associated environmental improvement .It is hoped this will offer young people the opportunity to engage with the site in a positive way and in doing so address the negativity associated with the site and the young people that use it.
