PROJECT 5 The Repair, Maintenance and improvement to the Church Spire at Holy Trinity Church, Leighton

Following an inspection and report by a firm of Steeplejacks who were looking at the proposed works to the Tower & Spire in Project 3 the following works were identified:-
Upgrade the Lightening Conductor with a horizontal band connecting to the existing two Conductors, an Health & Safety issue.
Carry our repairs to gargoyles and pointing to the spire, where pointing is open and stone has flaked
Replace unsafe timber ladders (165 years old) with steel to comply with H & S regulations.
Replace unsafe inspection platforms in spire in steel with safety hoops, where the new ladders will terminate.
