Promenade Gardens Improvement Scheme, Friends of Bloxwich Parks

This is a project to restore and improve the historical fountain area in the promenade gardens within the Bloxwich area of Walsall. The fountain has been a feature of the town since 1891 and is now in need of restoration. It is proposed to replace the current inadequate railings with 6’6” railings, which are also decorative and follow the side of the pool. A gate will also be installed in the back panel of the railings to enable access for cleaning and maintenance. In addition the fountain pump needs replacing and a further pump installed for the top tier together with lights. The fountain will also be repainted.
