Protecting the Greater Horseshoe Bat at Harridge Woods

This project will protect the rare BAP Species of greater horseshoe bats, and help stabilise their populations in the Harridge Woods Nature Reserve complex owned by Somerset Wildllife Trust. This project will ;
1) Provide additional roost sites for greater horseshoe bats in derelict Harridge Cottage
2) Implement conservation works to extend the range of habitats available for bats to breed, roost and feed
3) Monitor bat populations and provide baseline data and a report which will be carried out by specialist volunteers
4) Improve public access and information, and raise awareness of the project throughout Somerset
