Providing a digital piano for the use of the community

This project provides an accessible, quality digital piano, with self or volunteer teaching aids and connectivity in a stunning acoustically good medieval setting, which is open to the public every day. It overcomes individual deprivation and promotes music, mental health, equality and musical enjoyment for leisure purposes in a deprived rural area and at no cost to the participants.
This is an exciting and we think original leisure and recreation project which has come into being through recognition of how important music is in peoples lives and their well being. The very real difficulties that people of all ages have in gaining access to musical instruments and lessons they can afford. For a number of years, we have been looking at how we could provide free piano lessons in our deprived rural community. NOTE: This project was checked for compliancy with ENTRUST before any LCF funds were awarded.
