Provision of a Skate Park at Frank Muir Memorial Field, Thorpe

This project seeks funding for the provision of a skate park at the popular Frank Muir Memorial Field in Thorpe. Work will include the installation of a range of skating and jump ramps suitable for bikers, skaters and roller skaters. Equipment will be appropriate for both beginners and experienced users.
The project will deliver specific recreational provision for the teenage group not generally catered for within the locality, providing a safe place for young people to meet, socialise and enjoy recreational activities.
Extensive consultation has been undertaken with local residents and there is strong community support for the scheme.
