Provision of Gym Facility at Eoghan Rua Coleraine

The specific objectives of our project will work in conjunction with the Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council Strategy 2015-2019 and will revolve around the mission of both our Club and the Council which is to “Improve the quality of life and wellbeing for all our citizens and visitors”. We are aware that there is larger proportion of people aged 65 and over living in the Causeway Coast and Glens Borough (15.40%) compared to the Northern Ireland average (14.56%). This indicates that there is an ageing population in the Council area, which is why one of our specific objective is to assist this ageing population of 40 – 65+ in providing easy and accessible access to a local health and fitness suite, to ensure the older population continue to live happy lives, encourage positive, healthy lifestyle choices and improve their social environment.
