Projects / Provision of phase 2 Canopy at Heritage Railway Station

Provision of phase 2 Canopy at Heritage Railway Station

The project entails the phase 2 completion of a canopy to the station at Leicester North on the Great Central Railway. Phase 1 was the erection of the steel frame. The second phase covers the provision of glazing, roof decking, valancing, decoration, and electrics. Up to now the station has provided no weather protection to visitors to the railway, and the completion of this will transform the visitors experience. The project is fully supported by local councils and residents, and has all Planning consents in place.
