Pumphouse Wood

The woodland is surrounded by urban development and is sited adjacent to a primary school. Direct access to the woodland from the school is currently inhibited by a fence. The school would like to make use of the site to deliver the curriculum outside of the classroom. The aim of this project is to open up direct access from the school via a new gate (paid for by the school) and make improvements to the access and interpretation within the woodland. Practical works will be acrried out by volunteers from a Local Mental Health work group and Community Payback under the supervision of CWT's Reserves Officer.
