Purchase & Development of Additional Land

The project will purchase one hectare of additional land adjacent to the existing playing field. This will provide additional space to extend the cricket square as well as an area for a senior football pitch. At present the number of strips on the square limits the number of games that can be played each year. The larger square will allow games for a wider range of age groups and adults including cricket for females.
The larger football pitch will permit a similar increase. At present there is only room for a junior football pitch.
The new land will be enclosed with native species hedging.
Additional car parking will provided on land to be leased from Suffolk County Council but the conversion will not use any LCF monies.
