Purchase Naunton Court Orchard

Purchase this important old traditional orchard to conserve the site for its high biodiversity value. Naunton Court Orchard is home to the rare Noble Chafer beetle and many other invertebrates associated with old trees. The site has been recognised as important and is listed on the counties Local Wildlife Sites register. This notes “The orchard trees are a very important vertical habitat here, supporting as they do, lichens, mosses, mistletoe and populations of invertebrates and the birds that feed on them.”
Traditional orchards are considered to be priority habitats within the UK national Biodiversity Action Plan.
