Purchase of Adjoining Land to 4th Sevenoaks Scouts Land

This is a project to purchase a plot of land which directly adjoins the land owned by 4th Sevenoaks (St John’s) Scout Group.

There is no discernable boundary between the two plots, indeed the land has been used by the scouts and the local community for many years for camping, wide games and other activities. Its ownership has only recently come to light as the Scouts set about trying to register the land last year. At this point it was discovered that the land was owned by a family Trust (Harry Price Deceased Trust). The Trust is willing to sell the land to the Scouts, and the Scouts are very keen to purchase it, as there is a danger that the land may be sold to a 3rd party and no longer available to the Scouts and the local community.

The Scouts will use this land for various activities, including camping, an assault course, wide games etc. Other Scout groups from across the region also use the land, as will the local community for outdoor community events.
