Puriton Play Area

The project is to refurbish the play area in Puriton adjacent to the Village Hall. The last annual safety inspection highlighted concerns with the existing equipment and surfaces, so villagers in Puriton and Downend were invited to join a working group to improve the site. A consultation event was held in August 2011 to ask children and adults what their play area should contain. In addition to certain pieces of play equipment (swings and slides), villagers said they wanted a play area for all ages, and suggested table tennis and boules.
