Pyecombe Church of Transfiguration, Nr Brighton – Disabled Access Toilets (1880/D)

Located on the busiest section of the South Downs Way, Pyecombe Church receives tens of thousands of passing visitors throughout the year. In order to enhance the Church’s welcome and bring it into the 21st Century, the new extension to the side of the Church building will provide necessary modern amenities – a kitchen, toilet fully accessible to people with disabilities and storage facilities. The provision of such facilities is not a luxury but a necessity for the only community building serving a village population of over 200. In addition to Church services, the building is much used as a Centre for village meetings and events, such as the annual flower festival and parish weekend.

The Trust grant will contribute towards the disabled toilets.
